I believe in using a client-centered approach built on passionate advocacy, knowledge of the law, and an understanding that all clients want and deserve to be heard and respected. I understand that clients sometimes are dealing with emotionally and economically challenging issues, so I address each of my cases with empathy and expertise, to ensure that my clients’ needs are fully addressed.
Worked with David Hisle with several business related items, contract editing and client disputes.
Very thorough and communication is excellent! Always been a good experience!
My Background
I hold a law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. While attending law school, I interned for the Hon. Marcella A. Holland, Administrative Judge of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. During law school, I also counseled and advocated on behalf of clients as a student “Rule 16 attorney” in the law school’s family law clinic. Following graduation, I was a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Yvette M. Bryant, the Judge-in-Charge of the Family/Domestic Division of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.
Following my judicial clerkship, I practiced law at the law firm of Ferrante & Dill, LLC in Calvert County, Maryland, where I represented clients in a wide variety of civil and criminal litigation matters, as well as assuming responsibility as lead counsel for the Calvert County Department of Social Services. In 2019, I became partner at Ferrante, Dill & Hisle, LLC, and continued to represent clients in complex civil and criminal defense matters, including business and commercial contract negotiation and disputes; labor and employment negotiation and disputes; regulatory compliance; ethics and conflicts guidance; local, state, and federal administrative appeals; individual and commercial property negotiation and disputes; commercial, business, and private arbitration and mediation; domestic relations matters; criminal defense including juvenile, misdemeanor, and felony matters. I joined Lewicky, O’Connor, Hunt & Meiser in 2022, where my practice now includes representation of clients in business, civil litigation, and criminal matters, with a focus on business, corporate, and commercial transactions, negotiations, and litigation.
Civic Involvement
I am an active member of the Howard County Bar Association and Maryland State Bar Association, and maintain membership in the Calvert County Bar Association. I manage a non-domestic civil law clinic through the Circuit Court for Calvert County. I also regularly volunteer to serve as a judge for the annual Maryland State High School Mock Trial Tournament.
Licensure
I am licensed to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia. In addition to practicing before the courts of the State of Maryland and in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, I am also a member of the bar of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
