Samantha Chan is a Maryland business and civil litigation attorney with Lewicky, O’Connor, Hunt & Meiser in Fulton, Maryland. Professional Background and Education
A Maryland native, Samantha was born and raised in the Baltimore area and attended The Bryn Mawr School. She went on to attend Franklin & Marshall College, where she earned degrees in Economics and English, with a minor in Women & Gender Studies, and was a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon international economics honor society.
Samantha later earned her Master of Arts degree in English from Georgetown University, where her studies emphasized writing, critical analysis, and close reading, which continue to shape the way she approaches legal research, advocacy, and problem-solving.
She earned her J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where she pursued the Alternative Dispute Resolution track. As part of that concentration, Samantha participated in the law school’s Mediation Clinic and completed the training and experience necessary to qualify as a mediator under Maryland Rule 17.
Her background in economics, writing, and dispute resolution informs her practical approach to the law: understanding the legal issues, communicating them clearly, and evaluating problems from both a strategic and real-world perspective.
Outside of practicing law, Samantha enjoys trying new recipes, exploring local events around Maryland, and spending time with her husband and their three dogs. She stays active through running, strength training, Pilates, and hiking.
